Moni's Banana Nut Cornbread
I made this recipe up this evening for my hubby and I. It was delicious, try it and let me know your thoughts.

Servings 10

Ingredients
1 Cup of Self Rising Cornmeal
1 Cup of Flour
1 Cup of Sugar
2 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
2 Eggs (beaten)
1/2 Cup of Unsalted Butter Melted
3/4 Cup of Milk
2 Ripe Bananas (puree)
1/4 cup of walnuts (Chopped)

Directions
Preheat oven to 425. In a large mixing bowl stir dry ingredients cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in wet ingredients beaten eggs, melted butter and milk. Puree bananas using a mixer or food processor. If you do not have any of these pieces of equipment. Use a fork to smash the bananas until they are smooth. Fold in bananas and walnuts to the cornmeal batter. Pour batter into a greased round cake pan or square baking dish. Place in the oven for 17-18 minutes. Test with a tooth pick, cornbread is ready when tooth pick comes out clean. Let cool for 5-10 minutes and enjoy!!!
