One Skillet Baked Ziti


Serves 8


Ingredients 
  •  3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter
  • 3  Tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3teaspoons of dried basil
  • 3 teaspoons of dried oregano 
  •  2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of pepper 
  • 32oz can of crushed tomatoes (San Marzano preferred)
  • 16oz light heavy cream 
  • 1/2 cup of  Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 1lb Box of Ziti
  • 2 1/2 cups of water 
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese 
Directions 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large skillet on medium heat place chopped garlic cloves, olive oil and butter. Stir mixture until lightly browned.
3. Next add to the skillet basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir frequently and add in crushed can of tomatoes.
4. To skillet mixture add light heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir in ziti and water. Cover skillet with a lid and cook for 15 minutes until pasta becomes tender. 
5. Next top ziti with shredded cheese and place in the oven for 5 minutes or until cheeses is melted.
