Penne Pasta with Smoked Gouda Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomatoes
The following recipe is a great creamy Alfredo Sauce Recipe with Smoked Cheese and fresh Mozzarella . This recipe is awesome with grilled shrimp or chicken. Add any vegetable and it makes a great meal!!!
Penne Pasta with Smoked Gouda Cheese and Sun-dried Tomatoes .
SERVES 4 -6
1/4 cup butter
1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic
1 teaspoon of Salt and Pepper
1 Teaspoon of Old Bay Seasoning
1 4 oz pack of Sundried Tomatoes or in a Jared Sun Dried Tomatoes ( Diced)
1 Pint of Heavy Cream
1/2 cup of Mozzarella Cheese
3 ounces of smoked Gouda Cheese
1 cup Parmesan cheese ( Divided in half)
1/2 cup of Vegetable Broth
1/4 Teaspoon of fresh or dried basil.
1. In a large stock pot boil water and follow the penne pasta instructions. Cook according to the instructions and set to the side.
2. In a medium saucepan melt 1/4 cup of butter and sauté garlic, salt and pepper , old bay and chopped sundried tomatoes on medium heat for 4 minutes.
3. Add Heavy Cream, mozzarella cheese, smoked gouda cheese and parmesan cheese. Whisk vigorously until slightly thickened.
4. Stir in cup of Vegetable Broth and stir vigorously.
5. Simmer on low for 10-15 minutes, stirring a few times.
6. Add penne pasta and garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan Cheese. Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed.
7. Enjoy !
